What was 205 feet up and showed Griffon’s 90-degree drop?

It was Busch Gardens’ Web Cam.

Some of you might have watched Griffon from your own home during last spring. What did you think? Were you inspired to come and experience the ride for yourself? We hope so.

In December 2009, we first dabbled with a Web Cam and streamed our light show “O Tannenbaum” during Christmas Town. If you aren’t familiar with the show, it’s our signature 50-foot Christmas tree decked out in holiday lights that “dance” to a musical Christmas score. It’s pretty awesome if I may say so myself. On those cold winter nights when you couldn’t make it to the park, we hope the Web Cam gave you the opportunity to enjoy Christmas Town from the comfort of your home.

We had the Web Cam operating in four different park locations in 2010, including the two mentioned above. Can you name the other two?

I’d like to take this time to now open up the conversation and ask you where you would like to see our park Web Cam in 2011? Is there something you’d like to check in on when you can’t make it to the park? Let us know, and we might make it happen.

And remember to smile when you visit us; you might end up on our Web Cam.
